LifePlay Teaching Artist
Cindy Lewis is thrilled to return to LifePlay Productions after two years in St. Louis where she was the Youth Theatre and Arts Camp Director for the Jewish Community Center. There she produced six shows a year and lead ten weeks of art camp that included around the world, puppetry and circus camp to name a few. She was also a teaching artist and actor with Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis.
Cindy holds a Master of Arts in Theatre with an Education emphasis from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of New Mexico. Prior to moving to the Midwest, she worked as a teaching artist, director and actor mentor with LifePlay, North Coast Repertory Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Playwright’s Project and the San Diego Unified School District for six years.
Cindy is also a published writer and author of Bus+ed, a site-specific play that tackles the challenges middle school students face on an actual school bus. Cindy loves practicing yoga, cooking, cats, film and the ocean.
How Does Cindy Play?
I play by being around kids in theatre, practicing yoga with my friends, playing with my kitty, Luci and by making up recipes with fresh farmer's market ingredients.
